2 things: It sounds like a problem with your router or internet service. Are there other devices that experience the same problem when on your system? However, I do not know if you can update one component of the TV, but the software updates automatically when first connected to the internet. I assume/hope it will update as new software is pushed out like Samsung and Sony devices.
