It does have a light inside, but the power must be on for it to come on. If you just open the door, it does not light up

When you open the front door to retrieve the clothing it doesn't light up. It's a fail in my opinion.

Yes but only comes on for a short time and then goes off such as when you are starting the cycle and when it has ended.
