“We just had our second washer delivered in two business days this afternoon. Both units make a TERRIBLE sound in the wash cycle. I have a feeling it's the Drip Pan under the washer that's rubbing the bottom. Can you own a drip pan and have this washer?”

We ended up throwing away the plastic drip pan with the ridges that were rubbing the bottom of the tub and purchasing a stainless steel one. I can't believe that LG does not recommend use of a drip pan! Our washer is on the second floor and if something went wrong our entire house would flood. Wonder if insurance companies would agree... I sure don't!

You see the tub itself sits really low so what you are gonna have to do is extend the legs on the bottom of it so that it gets some clearance also when you got the washer they should of given you some spacers to put on the legs! Unfortunately Best Buy didn’t know how to fix the issue but that will take care of your issue I promise!

If one must be used, take extra care to follow the instructions provided with the drip pan and make sure the leveling feet are adjusted for firm and even contact with the pan. Use of drip pans and failure to properly level the machine may result in increased vibration and noise during operation. ^Daphane
