No stick of any kind needed. All the apps are already available in it. Just search and install. Very easy setup.

The LG 50 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV w/AI ThinQ® (49.5'' Diag), Model # 50UM7300PUA comes with preinstalled apps and you can add additional compatible apps by launching the LG Content Store feature from the home screen on the TV. You can use that yo search for compatible apps that you can download and install on the TV from the LG Content Store (App Store). The Roku stick may have some apps that are not compatible with the TV so you can use a Roku stick to stream any apps that are not available on the TV through the TV. That is a preference and not a necessity...^IFV
