No, it has an antenna input (same coax as cable) so if you have stations nearby you are in business. You will need an antenna, but I get by with a cheap rabbit ear. TV scans for local stations. Can use Blu-rays with a player.

It really depends on what you want to connect. If you're looking to watch over-the-air channels or cable TV, you'll need an RF coaxial cable to hook up the antenna or cable box to the TV’s antenna/cable input. For devices like Blu-ray players, game consoles, or streaming boxes, you’ll want to use HDMI cables. This TV has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K at 120Hz, so it's a good idea to grab certified HDMI cables for the best picture and sound quality. If you prefer a wired internet connection, you can connect the TV to your router using an Ethernet cable. If you're thinking about going wireless, this TV supports Wi-Fi 6E, which means you can enjoy smooth streaming without any cables.
