You shoudl plug this and all electronics into a high quotability surge protector/power strip. The power strip should come with a 2-4ft or more cord. Power strips can range from $10 to over $100. If you have other expensive equipment like a stereo get a more expensive one, otherwise any strip from a reputable company will suffice..
