A:AnswerThe stands do require a couple of screws that were in the box for me, but I didn't put them in immediately and as long as it is sitting on a fairly stable surface, it should be fine. Just to be certain though, you might want to reach out to LG and they should be able to send you the 4 screws required to properly secure the stands.

It was set up for a 40 inch and since this TV its lighter than my older version. (55in for the new LG) it works perfect.
A universal bracket with a rating between 45 and 60 will work just fine.
