Hello there, Nancy. We understand your inquiry about seeing flames when the convection fan is running on your LSGL6335F Gas Range. Yes, it is normal to see the burner flames ignite when the oven is in use, especially during the Convection Bake or Convection Roast modes. In a gas oven, the main bake burner will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature. When the convection fan is on, it circulates the air, and it is possible to see the flames of the main burner through the oven fan's opening as it cycles. This is a normal part of the oven's heating operation. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-6-3-cu-ft-smart-slide-in-gas-true-convection-range-with-easyclean-and-air-fry-black-stainless-steel/J7G565357V If you have any further questions about the operation of the oven or any of its cooking modes, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to assist you. —Renzo
