“I’ve only had glass top ranges. How easy or difficult is this unit to clean and what is the stove top made of”

It's stainless, so it cleans up nicely with a dish cloth & hot, soapy water. I lift up the grates and wipe it down after I cook and wipe off any grates that need it, as well. I have a thing about keeping my stove spotless and this one is super easy to keep clean. This was one of the reasons I bought this range and I'm very glad I did. My DIL has the same one and she bought a custom cover for hers from Amazon .. it's black and covers the stainless top.
