“I bought one of these ovens. I have a question about what seems to be an inordinate amount of heat coming from the vents in the top back of the oven. I haven't seen any other complaints about this anywhere but I am wondering if this is normal?”

The oven heat needs to go somewhere. What's amazing with this model is it goes straight up the vent, you must have a vent and you must turn it on. The whirlpool stand alone model that I replaced, I thought was hotter and you could not put anything near the vent because you will overcook or burn your food on the cooktop and made the entire kitchen hot because the heat spreads towards the chef instead of the heat going straight up. This LG model is better because it shoots straight up to the overhead vent.
