“Want to connect an old stereo receiver with floor speakers to the TV. Receiver only has older red white component ports ( RCA ??). How can this be done? Do tv settings need to be changed to hear both sets of speaker together?”

• Bought an optical to RCA signal converter on Amazon for $12. Works like a charm.

• Look at Optical/Digital Outpout "Converter"...depending on how old the receiver is you might score with a little searching in this category but with Radio Shack gone you might need a Fry's or EBAY to get the right piece.
