Can you turn off the “soap opera effect” with this TV? null

Sure, just turn off any software enabled motion such as TruMotion. The soap opera effect is from having too many frames, as alot of us are used to the 24fps that is common at the movies.

The picture setting mode can be adjusted in the User mode, Picture>Picture Mode Settings> Picture Options. ^Daphane
