• As far as the black bars at the top and bottom, that all depends on the content creator. Most movies will have the letterbox format because that's the way the director intended. Some movies will be full screen. Again just depends on the director.

• Black bars depend on the movie format. There is an option on the Picture menu to change the aspect of the movie. If it's letterbox it might stretch it, if you choose it to fill the screen. It all depends if you are comfortable with the change.

• This TV has a 16:9 aspect ratio, so 4K movies will be full screen. ^Daphane
