“Can the power cord safely be plugged into an extension cord and then be plugged into a surge protector? I ask because the supplied power cable is 6 ft which isn't long enough to reach my surge protector. If so, what gauge can be used?”

@LG then maybe produce your high end tv's with replaceable cables! Absolutely unreal that a $2k tv has a fixed cable.

Using an extension cord with a surge protector is a fire hazard at worst, and at best runs the risk of damaging or degrading the cords of either component. You should never use a high-current surge protector with a low-current cord. You can use the LG CX 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65CXPUA with an extension cord, or use it with a surge protector but not with both...^IFV
