I still have my magic remote from my old TV, but I prefer to use the one that came with this unit. I wish it was a little bigger though because the buttons are small and crowded. However, I like to watch streaming shows on Paramount and Youtube and the provided remote has Pause, play, FFW/RRW buttons just like a DVR/VCR that work great. The magic remote doesn't.
