“Considering buying this dryer but I have read A lot of the reviews stating that the dryer only dries until the clothes are damp and they have to run another cycle. Is this a user error or is it a flaw with the machine? Thanks”

I have the similar experience. It is drier than damp, but not completely dry on some loads. I had the same issue with my last LG dryer, but I thought it was because of the age. Now it's different loads than the old dryer, so assume it is the sensor that determines if a load is dry. Both the washer and dryer were highly recommended on Consumer Reports, but I'm not thrilled.
