Will this work with Blu-Ray disc movies? null

Nope, DVD only. You will need a Blu-ray burner, which they also make. US retail of 80 smackaronies

As a DVD drive, the LG - 8x External Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperMulti Blade Drive - Silver, Model # AP70NS50 cannot play Blu-ray DVDs. 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD technologies are backward compatible, meaning that each technology can play all the technologies that preceded it, so a 4K UHD Blu-ray Player can play 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and CD discs, a Blu-ray Player can play Blu-ray, DVD and CD discs and a DVD Player can play DVD and CD discs. ^Daphane
