the four "feet" on bottom of the unit i just prchased are metal and when pressing on the door open tab the unit gets pushed back as there is no friction. are there supposed to be rubber pads attached to the 4 areas that the unit contacts the countero null

I put a couple little pieces of double stick tape under the front 2 feet, and it stays put now.

I had the same reaction. I solved the problem by placing a piece of rubberized kitchen shelf liner under the microwave.
