New out of the box. why does the turntable not turn? null

The plastic part thatconnects tha turntable to the underlying wheel snapped, Part of plastic is stuck on the wheel prong so it spins but does not connect with or move the turntable. It is so frustrating getting service, I went out and bought a new microwave. It has been nearly a year, since the problem occurred.
