This is the latest neochef 2.0 model. I verified it with my sales person at the store. I had the same question as you. I guess it was an oversight on Best Buy's part. That they do not list it on their in-store description as a neochef. Mine was factory-fresh it was actually just made September 6th and I just bought it on Friday October 12th. They are selling very quickly in my area. Most stores only have a couple left in stock. And the two large nationally known home improvement stores were actually out of stock and we're not going to get more until sometime in November. Just an FYI.
