• The unit should not be installed under a washer needing a drip pan for leveling and stability concerns. ^Daphane

• Ours is installed without any pan at floor level in the garage. The door opens and closes without any problem. Using a pan probably will obstruct the path for the door to open and close freely since most of the the pans have a little wall of about 2.5” to contain the water if any leak occurs. Check the picture
