• Make sure you have fresh AAA battery in the LG remote. The IR sensor is located approximately 1 inch left of the Disc Eject button on player (for those using IR repeaters).

• I discovered the remote's limitations immediately. My voltmeter burned up in the October 2017 Sonoma County wildfires, but I think it's possible my remote had a depleted battery. However, I discovered quickly that I didn't NEED the DVD player's remote. LG's remote for my OLED 4K TV does everything that I need it to on the DVD player, so I put the underpowered remote for the DVD player into a drawer.
