LG pedestal washers should come with a detergent dispenser to help measure how much dry or liquid detergent to use.

The manual further states: "Do not use a full detergent pod in the pedestal washer...." Finally, the manual further states that the user should be careful when measuring the (liquid) detergent to prevent oversudsing. An Extra Rinse cycle will reduce the detergent residue left on fabrics.
