“Does this burn DVD's faster than the DVD burner installed in my Toshiba C55 lap top?”

• I don't know how fast your Toshiba is but the LG burns up to 16X DVDs, which is the highest rate to safely burn DVDs. Any faster could entail miswrites. 16X is actually quite fast and used to cause problems years ago but not the LG with my 16 gig RAM buffer.
