I did that for my Z strip and it turns on instantly. It does turn on to the last programmed light color/brightness. Unless you changed the color/setting through the LiFX app. It doesn't run through the whole strip before turning on like the Beams.

Please try again later.it all depends how long the outlet is left off. if it’s not a long time it will turn on where it was last left, color and brightness. but if it’s longer than an hour or sometimes less, it will default you a warm white and and certain brightness. can’t recall exact numbers but i have 4 lights
