I installed them in my greenhouse and the strips stopped working correctly after a month. I would not recommend. Not sure if this was just a defective batch, but they worked normally at first. Maybe weatherize the connections between strips and protect the plug and controller form the elements and humidity. Also the sticky backing starts melting away in heat.
Sorry, there was a problem. If you are going to put them outdoors, I would take measures to seal the connection points between strip well ie: silicon or hot glue.. As they say, they are not recommended for that environment and it's on you to do a good job weatherproofing the connections.
