“Can I stack a second switch with this switch? I'm running out ports... If so: - can it be any switch other than Linksys? - does it require a cross over cable or normal straight thru ethernet cable? - will is connect with Gig speed? - any port?”

Yes you can daisy chain these. They are what's known as "dumb" switches. There are no settings to fiddle with. Just have the first one plugges into your modem or router, then another off of it. I have one in my basement at access point feeding my upstairs lines and another off one of those and they work just fine and were plug and play.
