“Can I come directly off of my MetroNet modem into this, send three cables out to TV's and one cable to my linksys router and have everything work? Or does it need to go modem --> Router --> switch in order to work.”

• Set it up as you illustrate at the end of your question MODEM--->ROUTER--->SWITCH--->3 TVs. If possible , don't place a router downstream of a switch for best practice.
