• I would contact Linksys concerning the router to be sure it's comparable. I say this because they did ask what cable provider I have.

• WIFI is a standard. Mine works with a NetGear R7000 router, as long as your Verizon router follows WIFI standards - and it does, or else no other device would connect to it, this should be fine.
