• As long as you can connect to a wifi signal it should boost it. Within a reasonable distance . You would just need to install software on a computer and stream form that.

• No, DeeSmed. The Linksys RE6500 Range extender is not designed to work on this kind of set up. It should be connected and configured on a router (wired or wirelessly) to work.
