Works great. You buy your own modem, and return the Comcast modem that you are probably renting and save the $10 per month. Then connect 1 of your Velop wi-fi to the modem with the enclosed Ethernet wire, and it sets up your wi-fi to as many of your additional Velop nodes as you want. If you are going to buy the 2 pack go ahead and buy the 3 pack. The 3rd node will give you much more area coverage than just 2. I just did this to my Comcast internet and placed 5 Velop nodes ( a 3 pack and a 2 pack ) to cover 6500 sq foot house. Works great
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will plug an Ethernet cable from your comcoast modem to one of the linksys devices. Then use the linksys app to create a wireless network. If the device you have from Comcast is providing WiFi access then you will want to work with Comcast to turn off their WiFi after you get the linksys up and running. If the 2 systems are on at the same time it could cause connection problems because they will be sharing the same channel.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi. If you already have a modem from your ISP, then the Linksys Velop should work as your router which will provide coverage to your wireless devices at home. However, make sure that your modem supports ethernet connection to set it up with the nodes.
