You sure can. I have mine hooked up and it works great.

You should be able to because I have a switch hooked up to one of the ports, and a USB drive hooked up to that switch.

Yes, it should work. I attached a Western Digital NAS device through an Ethernet switch to my Velop, and it works fine.
