With regards to the Linksys Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh system, this would replace your Wi-Fi router but not your modem. It is likely your Comcast modem and Wi-Fi router are a single integrated device - in which case you would also need to purchase a new modem. I can highly recommend the Motorola MB8611 which is a great modem esp. if you are using a Mesh system.
