• you still need a cable modem from Spectrum. there is no COAX connection on the Velop systems - so you can't plug your cable into this device.

• No you still have to have a modem. This is just a wireless router

• We did the same thing because spectrum modem/router sucks. This is the router you also have to get a modem. We got the Arris surfboard modem for about $100

• Hello, Kathykjustme. The Velop System requires any ISP-supplied modem or modem-router.
