Hi, Teddyballgame406. You don't have to send your modem/router back. You can plug the first node into it via an Ethernet cable.

Yes, and I would actually buy your own router... my system runs great with my own router and the Velop mesh system!

I use my Spectrum model/router. I use that because I needed the extra bandwith with 5 computers, two Alexa, three tables and two phones that require Wi-Fi Calling
