I left my hard wired routes running and just turned off the wifi function on them. That worked great for me and I recommend that course of action.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First, disconnected and turn off your existing router, then plug in your first Velop node, turn it on then go to your app from your phone.you can used and retyped your existing user name and password to new Velop (first node) so you don't have to reprogram all existing devices when Velop wifi is complete. Each node has two Ethernet ports, you could use and plug in old switches without changing hard wired .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You won't be using your present router. I just replaced a TP Link AD7200 and my house is hard wired too. These modules are not access points they form 1 mesh Wi-Fi system. Each Velop module has 2 Ethernet connects on the bottom. I removed the TP Link from my set up and plugged the Velop module to my cable modem via one of the Ethernet connections. I let the Velop module connect to my modem and once that was done I then ran an Ethernet cable to my switch. There is a video you can watch on the Linksys web site but all I did was install the Linksys app on my iphone and then followed the step by step instructions. I had to reset my modem and start over because I got a little ahead of the steps. I reset my modem and started over. I followed everything in step by step order and had no problem from there getting the first module connected. The other 2 went smoothly and I have had no problems anywhere in my house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The EA9500 would be taken out completely, with the man Velop unit (and a switch if needed) in its place.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This system will replace your EA 9500 system and give you wider area of wifi coverage. I have one ode in my living room, one in my master bedroom and on in my kitchen.
