• No a separate router is not needed. I ran a LAN cable from the modem to one of the 3 stations. Works great so glad I got this.

• No, you do not have to buy a router for this three pack. One unit can be designated as the main router. However, I did buy a Linksys MR8300 which can be the main router in the Velop system.

• Hi DAve. The Velop WHW0303B Mesh router can be connected directly to your modem, so there’s no need to add a router to your setup.
