Great question, You are able to toggle on the top of the menu and bring down a setting screen where you are able to see the level of sound for your ringtone, on the left side of the volume line you will see a bell , you need to make sure there is no line running through the bell, if there is just click on the bell and the line through the bell will go away indicating your ringtone is on.
