Hello, we would like to thank you for your interest in the Jitterbug Smart 2. The Jitterbug Smart 2 is an Android based smartphone with the ability to connect to WiFi. Although a data plan is required, our rates start out as low as $2.49 a month for 100MB of data. When you are connected to WiFi your usage will not count towards your data plan. When you are away from your WiFi network, your phone will automatically connect you to your mobile data.
