• It works very well with WIN7 desktop using only headphones w/ mic. or webcam built-in mic.

• I don't have speakers either. There is a mic in the camera--they could me, but I could not hear them. I had to use the 3.5mm earphones (the kind we used to use with a portable radio) in the speaker jack and I could hear fine.
