“How do you connect the device to the computer? I have it plugged into the usb port obviously, but when I open the camera app on the computer it doesnt show up or give me the option to switch the source. same with the logitech software.”

I had to go into the menu settings of the program I was using and tell it to use the camera as the default source for video and audio input.
