I have been using it on a mahogany wooden desk and it has not affected the surface at all.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've never had one of these ruin my wood desktop, or any desktop for that matter. This is my 3rd one over the years (had that Corsair one, then some fancy fake leather garbage, and now this one), and none of them have caused any sort of damage.
