Yes, but it is a bit of a weakness IMHO of this device. The mute button is right at the bottom of the right ear piece in between the power plug slot and the power on slider switch, which makes it easy to hit while turning the earphones and makes it easy to mistake for the new user for the power button (why is the power button not next to the power plug slot?). There is no indicator light when the mute is on. Although there is a small tone which seems to indicate mute/unmute when pushed I have found it hard to easily verify that I've hit mute and it is easy to accidentally hit it while putting the ear phones on (e.g. to answer a call) at which point you are muted when trying to talk until you figure it out. Sigh. This headset is "good enough" -- a good price but it is not great either.
