Quality batteries last about a year with daily use. When the keyboard stops putting letters on the screen, time to change them.

Hi Z, the K360 does not have a battery indicator. The K360 comes with 2 AA batteries and the rating for the keyboard is up to 36 months of use. It does have an on/off switch to help increase battery life as well.
