“Does this keyboard perform the shortcut keys for Mac computers/laptops? I know that it specifies it being for Mac, but I just want to make sure it has those capabilities since this is not a true Apple product.”

It does have all the shortcut keys. There is no confusing this keyboard with a PC generic one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. the keyboard layout is configured for a Mac. Purchase as upgrade for Magic Keyboard that come with iMac. Works well for me. One must be careful to purchase the model specifically for the Mac as there is a similar one for Windows with same model number. Top row of keys has the controls for screen brightness, volume, media, etc. with alternate FI, F2, etc. Download driver to be able to configure which set works with Control- key combination. The keyboard has Mac standard Control, Option, and Command buttons for left and right hands (common to Mac keyboards). Section between QWERTY and numeric keys has buttons that are shortcuts for common CMD+ combinations for Page-up/Page-down etc .
