Because it is the same like to connect a wired usb keyboard, but without the wire -a tiny receiver communicates with the keyboard - virtual wire - per say. So , the answer is - IF a regular wired usb keyboard works with your LG TV then this logitech solar beauty will work as well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just plugged my keyboard dongle into my LG OLED TV and the keyboard does in fact work on it. the TV has Android Web OS, if yours does too, then it probably will work
