“Dumb question..What is the USB receiver? I know that a USB connects to the side USB plug but not familiar with the receiver.”

• The small USB receiver that comes with this keyboard is there so that you can still wirelessly connect to a device that may not have Bluetooth. For example if you have an older desktop computer that doesn’t have Bluetooth, you would instead plug in the little USB receiver to the computer. The keyboard will use that receiver to connect with the computer.

• It's a wireless Bluetooth connector. If your computer has Bluetooth, you should need to use the connector.

• USB receiver is Logitech's answer to providing a Uni-Reciever. Very similar to Wi-Fi but different. IMO, this due to many computers not having a native Bluetooth so they provide this USB receiver with this keyboard.

• It doesn't use a USB dongle to connect. It connects via Bluetooth. So just make sure what ever device you want to use it with has Bluetooth, that's it.
