It has a UBS which is kept inside where the battery component is. So open it first or you will think it do not have a USB.

No, the M170 will not work with your Chromebook. Most computer mice use a standard USB-A connection. A Bluetooth enabled mouse will work perfect for you, and it will not use up any connection ports at all.
