The mouse has an auto-off so no need to switch it off and the USB receiver can be left in the computer. The battery typically lasts a year or so, better than any other wireless mouse.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The USB adapter stays in the computer and the mouse has a manual on/off switch to save the battery when not in use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I never do either of those unless I am traveling with the mouse. It automatically goes to sleep when left unused for a short time. My battery usage is trivial.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your not taking your laptop out the house or office, it shouldn't make a difference. If you take it out, it might remind you to turn the mouse off. Otherwise it might shorten the battery lifespan if you leave it on. I personally take USB connector out, if I am taking my laptop out of the house. I don't want the connector getting caught on something or getting hit while transporting my laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No need to put the USB back inti the mouse. I do recommend turning off to save battery expense
