• Have used both the M310 and the M317 and, frankly, haven't noticed any difference in the performance of either one.

• it functions the same. the wheel feels the same. this one is a little shorter and fatter. a litter wider in front.

• Similar feel and function using Bluetooth. Takes 1 " AA" battery Big difference is design and color choices.
